"Paper Birds"

Look for the music from it is Paper Birds, this is a short animation movie, which has a stunning soundtrack…It is a tantalising and haunting score, which is for the most part fully symphonic, certainly worth a listen and adding to your collection, and whilst online checking it out also pay attention to Gloomy Eyes as this is a score I never tire of…

"Paper Birds"

"Music should be used as an interactive component for the viewer" - Cyrille Marchesseau

"Gloomy Eyes"

“ It’s a completely transportive and beautiful experience, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, and really connected with my passion of storytellin with an extraordinary music, absolutely stunning. I really felt like I snuck in the back door on this one and had to do very little to be a part of something very beautiful and quite profound." says Colin Farrell.

"Gloomy Eyes"

"Some interesting scores around at the moment (...) a highly original musical score by Cyrille Marchesseau. The musical score is in my opinion an accomplished one, the composer combining both symphonic and synthetic elements to fashion a work that is overflowing with themes and teaming with haunting nuances. To say that the soundtrack is inventive I feel would be an understatement (...) Within that time the listener will I know be totally immersed in a musical ocean that is filled to bursting with innovative, emotive, and effecting compositions".

"Une barque sur l'ocean"

"One of his more recent scores is UNE BARQUE SUR L’OCEAN, this is a delightful score, and one that I have to admit to listening to through about three times, not because I was finding it hard to be immersed and appreciate it, No, but because I liked it so much. The composer makes effective and emotive use of solo violin and cello, piano and delicately placed harp, which are interweaved with more strings and given support from subtle synthetic quarters, the use of female voice too, is affecting and ingratiating. The haunting wordless vocals, becoming difficult to not hear even when the track has ceased to play, combine this with poignant solo violin and a lush and mesmerising string section and there is very little you can do to resist it".

"Gloomy Eyes"

"Paper Birds"

"The soul of this work lies in music. The main feature of the work is "Musical Wonder". The film incorporates various styles of music such as jazz, symphony, and piano. As the plot advances, the audience will follow the music or the music in the sea of stars. Excited, or hesitated, or surprised, or sad. In the process of immersively experiencing the VR animation "Paper Crane", the audience can interact with the bare hands and combine with the "gesture recognition" technology to connect with the content of "Paper Crane". The ending part is similar to Beat Saber, allowing the audience to personally play a piece of music composed by Cyrille Marchesseau with both hands in the work".

"Paper Birds"

"This French guy is just an amazing genius. He was deeply inspired by the project from the very beginning. The result of his work exceeded my expectations, which were huge in the first place. He managed to include the bandoneon around a musical world with many other elements. The music of this piece is at times deeply emotional and also gets to be very mystical in a perfect balance".
